The best advice I can give is from a talk by Elder Oaks: ”Last year a church member sent me a suggestion that someone prepare a book containing all General Authority interpretations of all verses in the scriptures. I replied that I thought this was not a good idea…. What we are seeking to accomplish… is not to magnify the standing of the prophets but to elevate the spirituality of our rank and file members. Like Moses, we declare, ‘would God that all the Lord’s people were prophets, and that the Lord would put his spirit upon them!’ (Numbers 11:29). We encourage everyone to study the scriptures prayerfully and seek personal revelation to know the meaning for themselves.” (Elder Dallin H. President Nelson Study Challenge

Well I have decided to take on President Nelson Study challenge of going through the scriptures on Jesus Christ.
I am going to start with the Book of Mormon.
I did start with a topic that is not in the Topical Guide. That of the names of Christ.

I got a blue hard back copy and using a yellow crayon marker and a couple of ball point pens have started.
I take the red pen and underline the name then color the verse then with a black pen wrote in the margin Name of:

As I move to other topics I will use the same yellow crayon and black margin pen but change the color of key verse pen I use.

This is going to be exciting and I will share as I go.
