I did the same.
- I bought a "blue cover" Book of Mormon from the distribution center. I then did the following:
- Went through and highlighted all the major stories.
- I took the list of these stories and typed them on a page that I glued to the front inside cover. On the right edge I put "dot stickers" as tabs to be able to find that story quickly.

I then started to read the book thinking on a set subject. Each subject has gotten it's own color.
- Yellow= Christ's dealings
- Blue= Parenting ideas
- Red= How the characters dealt with wickedness
Upcoming subjects as I read are Holy Ghost, Revelation, Sorrow, Enduring...the list is endless. I figure I have quite a few colors to go through before I have to move to a new copy.
